Yay!! My first ever knitting project complete!! I lost my favourite red hat (that used to remind me of a mushroom) at Waveform festival this summer – I was gutted to loose the hat as i bought it for 50p in a sale and have never seen another one like it to replace it with!! SO i decided to knit a new one! I have a slight obsession/curiosity with elves, fairies and such fantasy beings and have always wanted an elfy hat…I found an awesome pixie hat pattern from Pixiebell Elfinwear called ‘Gnome Dome’ and managed to knit the hat up in one long evening – unfortunately it was way too small for my liking, so I unraveled and adapted the pattern to a larger size! Very pleased with the result, especially as was my first attempt!

Fantastic hat and gorgeous pictures! You really are gifted. I’m not that fond of the color though, I’d rather have it in a deeper red. You might want to check my hat patterns on my site ( http://plumodan.info/hats )

WOW! That is soooo cute. Went on their site, they only sell the hats and not pattern, how did you get hold of the pattern, coz I want to knit their pixie hat AND gnome dome.
