I probs won’t be blogging for a little bit while I settle into city life and get myself sorted. Exciting times ahead! Goodbye countryside, goodbye pretty lakes and fields, goodbye sheep!! I’ll miss you a little bit!

  • Jan 10 New job in London!
  • Life is as good and as sweet as you make it… and I plan to make 2010 an amazing year, and grow even further than the last 3 years… pheww! I’d like to quickly share some really inspiring images from top creative agency TMW. I am starting my first job as a Junior Designer with them next week and am very excited to get involved, learn, design and absorb myself in cultural city life… Here is a selection of my favourite pieces of their digital projects – a standard of work I aspire to creating myself in the future.

  • Jan 7 Knitted Pixie Hat
  • pixiehat3pixiehat1pixiehat2

Yay!! My first ever knitting project complete!! I lost my favourite red hat (that used to remind me of a mushroom) at Waveform festival this summer – I was gutted to loose the hat as i bought it for 50p in a sale and have never seen another one like it to replace it with!! SO i decided to knit a new one! I have a slight obsession/curiosity with elves, fairies and such fantasy beings and have always wanted an elfy hat…I found an awesome pixie hat pattern from Pixiebell Elfinwear called ‘Gnome Dome’ and managed to knit the hat up in one long evening – unfortunately it was way too small for my liking, so I unraveled and adapted the pattern to a larger size! Very pleased with the result, especially as was my first attempt!

  • Jan 5 Westonbirt Arboretum
  • I’m lucky enough to live near the fantastic Westonbirt Arboretum . I hadn’t been for years until the last couple of months – I’m not usually a fan of the cold seasons but there isn’t a better place to go and realise how beautiful they really can be! The perfect place to walk and talk with my favourite people :) as well as to celebrate the changing on the seasons!

The arboretum holds 600 acres trees and woodland to explore, with 3000 varieties of rare trees. Its the perfect place to go when you forget how powerful nature can be, roaming under huge amazing trees you’ve never seen before, each with such presence and history about it! In autumn the trees display rainbows of vivid colours, and in Winter an ‘Enchanted Christmas’ event is held in the evenings, where the trees are lit up beautifully. Definitely worth a visit even any time of year!

  • Jan 3 A White Christmas!
  • I hope everyone had a fabulous christmas and new year! I had a lovely time and was lucky enough to get some really nice pressies including a new tripod for my SLR, a new diana mini and external flash to go with my diana +, some nike/adidas running gear and two gorgeous veggie cooking books, so i’m really excited about cooking up some feasts to share with you. In other news i’m moving to London in two weeks… sooo excited!!
